Gal 5:16  “ Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

1Pe 1:16  “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Heb 12:14  “Without (holiness) no man shall see the Lord…”

There is a war going on. We are warring against the devil, the flesh and the world! These 3 are the sole reasons we have to be IN CHIRST, and walk in His Holy Spirit… Satan is trying to take us out! He doesn’t want us to be successful at anything – especially living for God! This is why we say “Use your Power!

The guiding principles and values for this work are holiness and upright living – ‘Using the Power within.’ The POWER that we speak of is none other than the power of the Holy Ghost that Born Again Believers have received. On our t-shirts is our base scripture - Acts 1:8, “Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”

This entire movement started though an email blog in 2008. Founder, Ibn Johnson was sending out daily emails to encourage his brothers and sister in Christ. At the end of every email he began to use the tag phrase “Use Your Power!” … This phase became catchy to those who followed these blogs - So Ibn decided to go further with it and put it on T-shirts and hoodies. He found that many were very fond of  in this phrase, and that people really enjoyed quoting it!  So it brings us to this point where we are now – Proclaiming to everyone we can reach: “Receive ye the Holy Ghost – and use it!!!” J

Locally, UYP has given all those following this movement something positive to talk about. We now want to see what we can do on a national, & even an international level. We want believers everywhere to begin to “USE THEIR POWER!”  Jesus is soon to return!
